I have a Sassanian coin which I am researching about it online. I found a very close match sold by Steve Album. Is that an issue? What I mean is seeing a close match could it indicate authenticity or forgery?
I am not seeing any die match here. A die match is when both coins were struck from the same dies. What I see here is just a drachm of Ardashir I Gobl III/1, It appears to be genuine but I think better pictures are needed to be sure.
Thanks All for look into this. But I see lots of examples of the same type which has totally different styles of eye, mustache, beard calligraphy etc for example compare the 2 coins in OP with this coin here. They are all same type/mint but the die of this coin totally different than the ones on the OP the OP coins seems very much more close although not identical. but they seem to be the work of same individual/engraver. No?
