Quote:CelticKnot, Please tell me Your coins were PERFECT @morgansdad, I'm happy with them! No visible defects and just a few specs of lint in a couple of the capsules, easily remedied with canned air. One was loose inside the box but still in its capsule. The Peace dollars are especially nice. Just need the S and D Morgans, which are out for delivery today. Okay, gotta admit I was VERY skeptical about the mint being able to get these coins into collector hands in October as (somewhat) promised. But the fact that I will get my final shipment on November 1st is pretty good.

My Peace dollar, the final shipment of the 100th anniversary coins for me, is supposed to arrive today. I feel like I'm holding my breath. After such a long and crazy process from the start back in May until today, it feels a little like coming up on the finish line and hoping everything can just hold together (no shipping problems, no scratched up coins, etc) until you get there. Anyone remember that scene in the original Star Wars when one of the pilots is getting close to being able to shoot and blow up the Death Star? "Almost there.. almost there.." .

The coins look good. One has a very slight scuff or something, but otherwise I don't see anything that'll annoy me with the naked eye.

BGLI, Nobody knows what these will be worth in a year or so, ungraded or graded. IMO prices will be lower in a few months after the hype settles down, then in several years they will gradually go up. At 175K mintage each for Morgan mints, 200K for Peace they will never be rare. They will remain popular. If you'd love to have the whole set now go for it, especially if you keep them and don't need/want to sell soon. An MS69 has something about it that coudn't make it MS70, maybe very slight or maybe more. Buy it from a seller that allows returns in case there's damage you don't like. Damaged pics have been posted on this topic.

Well all my duplicates are gone. My local coins shop said he would buy all but a fellow collector was unable to complete the purchase so I ended up selling him the PDS and Peace at my cost, which left 3 more coins, which my local dealer gladly took from me and while I was there sold a set of 6 to a customer (they needed an S which I provided). So these are still popular, especially if you can look at them up close. The only 2 coins in transit are the last of the Peace I ordered and they are out for delivery. So I may sell or may not sell the last Peace dollar. I've always been a fan of Peace dollars, so its still questionable. None of my coins were terrible, all had great visual appeal and while 2 (so far) had tiny marks, it was nothing that I wouldn't be happy to own. But I guess the question becomes which ones would I rather own? And even having perfect Morgan and Peace, the new ones just don't have the history and luster of the originals. For $85 I can get a nice common date Peace/Morgan and I would believe I would rather have those. So will I continue? I really don't know. I highly doubt I would continue with regular Morgan's, but the Peace I would be more inclined. And when the Enhanced Reverse Proof Peace with number COA is out, I'll be on 4 screens and 3 computers trying to buy one. For all those that got the set CONGRATS! For those that didn't they are plentiful out there, my local coin shop has all except for the S at a very good price, so PM me I can pass on his information. Heck you might get the perfect D I just sold him To all my fellow collectors thanks for joining me on this thread, I never expected this much interest, especially since the first few posts were "I'm not interested"

Quote: Safe at home... What sort of condition was yours in? Any complaints? I couldn't see any obvious issues from your photos. I'm still waiting on my Peace dollars. Got the P Morgans - I still wonder why they are shipping these things in such a pell mell fashion.
