I'm thinking about sending in some of my Morgan's to be graded. I think it's a crap shoot. If your lucky enough to get a 70 you win. Anything else you'd be lucky to brake even.

Finally got my last batch in (after a mail hold from being out of town last week). One Peace was fine, two other Peace's were out of the capsule - one looked fine and the other has some kind of grease smudge. I used a bulb syringe to blow the lint and stuff off the coin before I popped the capsules back together.

Most of the ones I have received have the black lint on the inside of the capsule. How does that happen?

Likely, the fibers were sucked inside the capsules by a change in air pressure during shipping (cargo hold on aircraft). For example, although the coins were minted in Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco, they were shipped out of Texas and Tennessee. Then USPS would have mailed them to their customers. Aircraft are used for most cross-country shipping.

Me too, I've been getting this since I received the USPS Tracking Number from the Mint.  The USPS knows about it - the Mint just hasn't given it to them yet. Probably sitting in a bin or on a truck at their distribution center. |

I found fibers in most of the O privy mark coins. I think the fibers came while placing the coins in the holders. A problem with the dust collector and or the clean room.
