Just picked this up today for cheap but wanted
to know if anything vamish about it. It has a lower than usual date,
lots of die cracks on the rev. through states also. High 0
Heard of a micro 0 but the pics. I see of them look the same to me.
checked on a VAM 37 I believe and it fit the criteria all except the doubled ear. At least I could not see anything. Crappy pics. but ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank's

Indian1, it's a VAM. Not a micro O. O set high, slightly right and tilted slightly right. Low dates are fairly common on 1899s. 1 appears to be doubled under the upper cross bar. Pictures can be deceiving though, check out VAM 11.

Hi

Thank's. No doubling at all on the one.
This is what I found so far (what a mess:)
VAM #9, 10, 18 and 21 (plus more)
Need to find out about the long die cracks
on the reverse. ( through nited to edge of wing)
and TAT of states.

Indian1, none of the cracks I see have developed into breaks yet, so no consideration is given to them when you determine the VAM.#.
