Similarities yes But not the same ...... First thing I noticed was the very obvious BD on the reverse complete with the pitted scar above the C Very unlikely to be seen on a modern fake and the reverses are plainly different The obverse are much more alike But not the same If you draw a line following the back of the head of Agrippa Coin #1 leads to the bottom of the C in the legend Coin #2 leads to the O The jaw also points to different letters There are enough differences to safely say the two have no connection
But as Agrippa is commonly faked you are always wise to be suspicious ! I think #2 is safe to assume as genuine Number 1 is probably genuine
Thanks for the reply and your close examination. Yes, these are faked a lot so I'm always leery. The BD is a problem though. I just did a batch for treatment and they came out great, but I'd rather not be bothered.
