My Lucky Day? 1955 Lincoln Wheat Cent And A Weird 1988 Lincoln Memorial Cent

I was going through some change today and I happened to come across a 55 with some doubling on it. I don't know what variety it is exactly so that's where you guys can come in for me. Then I came across a 1988 lincoln that looked like it was struck on the wrong metal. I'm not sure but thought I'd share. Hopefully, the pics will show good enough for you to see...

Your 1988 cent has been through something that has ground down the edges of the coin to a severe extent. All 1988 cents were made with planchets consisting of a pure zinc core bathed in a thin layer of copper. If you cut into any modern cent you will find that the inside of it will be silver colored.

Your 1955 cent appears to be completely normal. Any doubling you might be seeing on this coin would be due to extreme die fatigue - it often leaves a shadowy hump on the outside edges of the outer devices of the coin - completely normal and not worth any premium value.
