Started my search today. Found a couple wheats and one odd ball. A 1991 but the last one is nearly invisable. I cant post a pick unfourtunately. Just glancing at the coin it looks like 199. The last one is there but VERY weak. It doesn't appear to be ground or worn at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, back to the search!

Usually, that would mean there was some grease filling in the last 1 on the die.

if you don't get an enormously huge amount of them, keep them all and roll em up, they're in the best condition now than you'll ever find em. If you do get a ton of them, pick out the most spot free ones and roll em. If you want to keep them all, thats up to you, you can probably make a premium. Theres always the thought of keeping them in a BU roll for another 50 years, but its all up to you.

Cool Find last night! I'm about halfway thru my first box. Only found a couple common date wheats till last night! I found a 1863 civil war token! WOOHOO! Its a little grimmy but both obverse and reverse are clear as day! No Vert, just grime. Any clue on value on these?, I have no clue. Would Thads conditioner clean the grime?

Always start by using the solvent polarity ladder: 1) water 2) acetone 3) xylene See how those do in that order before trying anything else. |

I'm almost done with a $50 bag, and unfortunatly I'm only at 6 wheats. But I was only at 2 until I was 3/4 done, then I got 2 in a handfull plus another one. Hopefully i'll at least find a couple more. I also found 1 dime and 2 of the old canadian coins with the man on them (41 and 44) plus quite a few BU zincs and AU coppers.
No 2010's though, surprising since I found 4 in my last bag. Oh well.

that man would be a young king george, I believe. I don't think I've ever found king george cents roll hunting, only a king george nickel once.
