Quote: Lets hope your luck doesn't rub off on me. Me too! Quote: did you notice if there were many older than 1982? It sounds like you might have encountered boxes made up mostly of a dump. I'm not sure how else to explain the abnormal lack of wheats. I'm almost certain at least one of the boxes was a dump, or had been heavily picked through. I don't pull copper, but I did notice there were almost no pennies with dates prior to 1982. Quote: I've been given nothing but new coins before, but I was able to flip those rather quickly. One of the boxes was also mostly AU coins, mixed in with average circulated coins. Frustrating boxes!

I'm in Canada and I've only done 4 boxes of pennies so far, but every one had 1 or 2 wheats in it (which is kind of surprising).

Went through a box of cents today. A few wheats, a dime, and a counterstamped.

Agreed BadThad - nice condition for a coin plucked from circulation and semi-key at that.

Found a 1909 VDB tonight. The hunt for Wheat was (is) going slow, but I was very excited to find it. About 16 Wheats and several high grade LMCs including some S Mint LMCs. A few more rolls to go, but I could stop now and be very happy!
