Yes, the '67 Canadian is the centennial release. Just like the US rolled out the special reverse designs for the bicentennial in '76, Canada did the same in '67. Mintages were in the hundreds of millions for the cents, so no premium unfortunately.

Your S wheat pennies are a good find, but unfortunately the S only brings a "real" premium for coins 1909-1934ish. San Francisco was a fairly major mint during the 40s and 50s, and people only really started keeping them when that mint reopened in the late 60s. The "S mints are rare" mentality stuck and was retroactively applied to coins that aren't actually scarcer than their P or D counterparts. Certainly keep them for your collection, but the S mint cents from the 40s and 50s fall into the bucket of "worth 2-3 cents each" wheat pennies.

I really like the 1910 though! It beats my oldest cent find by a good 6 years! What kind of condition is it in?

The 1910 is in pretty worn condition condition probably G4. I got 2 1970s and 2 1969s too.
That was a fun box.

Nice finds Whitewolf. I'd think that the 1910 would fetch a G4 grade and maybe a little better on the 1943 (I can't make out the details).

During my lunch break on Friday, I went to the bank and bought ten rolls of cents, hoping to find some wheats, varieties, or other things of interest. It was only after I got back to the office that I discovered that every last stinkin' one of them was a brand-new uncirculated 2013-D.

After many months of not roll hunting, I finally found the time to get a box of pennies.
Only found 10 common wheats and a 1972 Canadian cent.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Take some time to pick out the highest grade cent you can find. I'm happy when I get solid date rolls - it's painful to look for the best of the best, but it pays off with an excellent example for my collection.

Searched four boxes of pennies, looking primarily for wheats. Found (1) wheat in the four boxes. Went to dump them at the coin machine at my dump bank and found (1) additional Wheat penny in the coin return.

Ouch. I can't say that I've ever had that happen to me *knock on wood*. I've searched 3 boxes since I started CRH'ing and have found roughly 20 wheat pennies. Hoping to pick up a couple more boxes today. Lets hope your luck doesn't rub off on me.

schreiber, if they were not all new pennies, did you notice if there were many older than 1982? It sounds like you might have encountered boxes made up mostly of a dump. I'm not sure how else to explain the abnormal lack of wheats.

Ive gotten boxes recently with 0 wheats. Each time, I could tell the box was made from a copper hoarders dump because there were no cents older than 1982.

This would absolutely ruin my day. I've been given nothing but new coins before, but I was able to flip those rather quickly. I would be devastated if I searched an entire box and there weren't any coppers.
