Illegal - if you go through this thread, there are a number of hunters who did what you did and found a treasure or two for their efforts. Nice follow through!

Thanks guys, When I saw how new they were, I was planning to sell them to kings rather than open them. Opened them anyway, and I actually didn't have a 1938, so it worked out.

yep, thanks jbuck, you are the best.

got another box today and they were circulated.
8 canadians, a nice bahamas cent, and 6 wheats. A holed 42 d, 44d, 45s, 53d, and 58. Then a nice 1916, in roughly f-12.

Thanks, jbuck and rackster. Well, I found 5 wheaties today, and one of them happened to be a 1955 with the mintmark rarely seen on the East coast. And it's hard to find out here as well. A little thrashed, but I'll take it!

This is the first time I have ever found one of these. I wouldn't have known what it was if it were not for you guys.

I just finished a $25 box of Lincoln cents. All machine wrapped Loomis rolls. One roll was 34 coppers including two wheats. Another roll was only four coppers! Total number of copper cents was 702 including only eight wheaties. Oldest wheats were two 1941. Twenty four Canadian cents, oldest was 1963. Sixteen 2009 Lincoln zincs. One 1994 Lincoln zinc that has no rim to the left of Lincoln and extra rim to his right but other than that the coin looks normal. The reverse is like the front missing on one side and extra on the other. Fourteen totally trashed zincolns, green/blue with all details obscured. Comparing to past CRH fewer wheats and coppers, time marches on!

Yes, it's my 2nd 55-S (and it's a lot more thrashed than this one). Interestingly, I still haven't found a 54-S yet, despite them being far more common, and not hoarded nearly as much.

Funny I post the above and the next batch of 20 rolls produces one lone wheat - a 1954-S. LOL.

Tonight's batch of 20 rolls was far better... 8 pre-59 coins... I would normally say 8 wheats, but that would be a lie!

Oh, wow. Indian Head cents are the gold medal of CRH for cents. I hope you were pretty excited when that came out of a roll, John77! Very, very awesome!

Nice batch!

Wheaties are always fun, but an IHC is even better.
