Cool Lincoln Roll Finds (From Bank Rolls) - Post Yours!

I search rolls whenever I can at work. I average 2-3 wheats per roll. This has been pretty consistent for a year now. Also have about 200 Canadian pennies from the last year and one Indian cent. I'd say I search only about 12 rolls per week.

Nice finds aristarchus123! I just finished a $25 box of pennies, all Loomis rolls. The population report; 682 copper LMC including 4 with an S mint mark, 4 2009 cents, 9 wheat cents the oldest was 1940 including a 1953-S, and surprise! 23 Canadian cents the oldest was a 1962 and including 2 1967. Noteworthy was the absence of any damaged zinc pennies. Maybe Loomis is removing them from circulation? And still haven't found an Indian Head cent.

Cool find mountainman 2! Seems like anything earlier than 1940 is hard to find in the boxes.

for crazyforATB a previous population report, 779 copper LMC, 18 wheat backs, 11 2009 and 10 Canadian. So the amount of copper was down by 97, but Canadians went up by 13, and the wheat backs went down by 9 with the 2009 down by 7. It changes from box to box. Time is taking it's toll. As expected, the numbers of coins no longer minted, copper LMC, Canadians, 2009, wheat backs, S mint marks, are getting harder to find and only the percentage of zinc pennies is increasing.
Also, different topic, the teller, at the bank where I have an account, wants me to cash a check for twenty five dollars in order to get a box of pennies. Something to do with how she counts out her drawer at the end of the day.
