It must be something in the water... these two 1901 Indians were in the same CWR! The 1928 is a hole filler and came out of a MWR.

Nice IHC's John77! Bought 2 boxes this week and found 8 and 10 wheat pennies respectively. All 40's and 50's wheats.

I think Wheat cent finds are always fun, even if they are the more common dates.

Thanks, all. It seems like the more different small banks I hit, the more really old coins I find. The "hidden treasures" seem to be more prevalent at the smaller local banks that don't do a lot of business in coins.

And crazyforATB, nice find with the 1925-D... also LOVE finding those older Canadian cents!

Nice finds John77! Indian Head cents must be out there, but I've yet to find one! My latest population report from a $25 box, zero S mint marks!, twelve LWC the two oldest 1935 and 1936, seven Canadians the oldest 1962, and eleven 2009. The yield on the copper cents was the same, a little over six hundred. And I found two crisp, clean 2017-P cents in pocket change this week!

File this under "Great Dates and Varieties, Awful Condition." A 1936-S and 1998-P WAM. The first is a hole-filler.

The box yielded 15 LWCs (very high for me) and the earliest was 1918.

Thanks, mvl9591!

And aristarchus123, it's always nice to fill a hole... and find a nice variety. I've only found two of those 1998 WAMs so far.

As for my Indian cent (and Buffalo and V nickel) finds this year, I think I owe it to just hitting a bunch of different banks - especially smaller ones. I've made a conscious effort to visit more neighboring cities this year (both for searching and dumping) and it's paid some big dividends in the older coins for sure.

They are all very nice looking and excellent finds!

Edit: It looks like that '57-D has some ghosting on the reverse. Nice.
