It is simply put the finest type coin of the early Half Dime series and finer than any other example. It broke a new price record and I am sure it is in a great set now. I will tell you, this coin created quite the buzz around the shop when we heard it was up for sale, great coins to this degree don't come up very often. Since you've had it in hand, I would like to ask a question. On the reverse in the GC photos it looks like there is some light film on the the surface by United States, is that just toning?
