Quote: They could always release one later. Wouldn't be the first time they split offerings. True. I feel fine waiting since it appears these will not hit a mintage limit before then. Quote: I think I'm gonna be furious if the mint and proof sets remain the stupid high prices and only have one quarter in them this year. There will be two quarters: Tuskegee and Crossing the Delaware.

Quote: Both commemorative programs go on sale this Thursday, January 28. Yet there are no posted prices for either or even images for the Law Enforcement coins. Prices are now listed for the non-gold coins. In the past, the Mint has offered a discounted price for 30 days followed by a price hike. Also, the authorizing laws require Quote: (c) PREPAID ORDERS.— (1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall accept prepaid orders for the coins minted under this Act before the issuance of such coins. (2) DISCOUNT.—Sale prices with respect to prepaid orders under paragraph (1) shall be at a reasonable discount. So, are the listed prices the prepaid discount prices? to be increased later on?

$74 is the DISCOUNTED price... Sorry - that is just too much for a one-ounce silver coin no matter how nice. And $35 for a clad half dollar is crazy in my book as well. Looks like my modern commemorative collection may be complete. A shame.

I will most definitely skip if there is no silver dollar and medal option. It is what I like and have no issue paying the higher prices for them.

Sorry - that is just too much for a one-ounce silver coin no matter how nice. And $35 for a clad half dollar is crazy in my book as well. , the prices are crazy. Back in 2012, I purchased the uncirculated Star Spangled Banner Silver Dollar at the introductory price of $44.95. At the time, silver was about $35 per ounce. Today, the uncirculated dollar's introductory price is $69.00 and silver is at ~$25 per ounce. So while the price of silver has decreased 28.6%, the price of the uncirculated dollar has increased 53.5% since 2012. Granted it's not a perfect comparison. Calculating for inflation, the price of the silver dollar in 2012 would cost $50.67 in 2020, making for a 36.2% price increase in 2020 dollars. Operational costs have surely increased, especially with COVID, and it's natural that prices will rise with time. But all the price increases over the past couple years have gotten ridiculous, especially for base metal products. 10 years ago, the proof half dollars were $17.95 (introductory price). Prices increased 95% since then.

I wish the USM would use some of the increased revenue from raising prices for training on posting items on the schedule. The 2021 ASE started off with a product limit of 300k much like the S mint ASE fiasco from last year. Now shows product limit 327,440 mintage limit none and HH order limit 99. Is it possible the product limit is 300,000, mintage limit 327,440? That would make more sense with the congratulations set and bulk items added in. Of course the congratulations set currently lists mintage limit none and product limit none anything is possible. I'm not planning to order until they come out with clear mintage numbers - got taken on that last year. Come on get accurate figures and publicize them.

Are alot of people willing to drop $700 for the Law Enforcement commemortive based on a line drawing? Pick something known to mint to order. I could understand an issue like the ASE that had been the same year to year but not a new commemortive issue. The USM also has a product image for the Air Force silver medal, but nothing for the NA dollar coin. Really starting this year with the USM where I left off last year - unimpressed with their concern for collectors.

Here we go. Whatever the 2021 ASE mintage is enrollments are sold out and you can't add to an already existing ASE enrollment.

Since there is no mintage limit and the product limit of the congratulations set is unlimited, my guess is that they've limited the enrollments to the quantity produced in the first batch. BTW, I added an enrollment about a month ago to get this ASE on the first day and it's now gone. Odd, but I should be able to get it eventually, so I'm not worried.

This was on the my enrollments page: Quote: Purchasers of the "W" American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Proof Coin (21EA), please note: Demand for this product is extremely high. In order to accommodate as many customers as possible, we are unable to accept increases to enrollment orders for this product. I've had the enrollment for a few years, so hopefully I'll get my usual order.

@bazookaj, I see that too. Also, I have been receiving ominous emails about not receiving my subscriptions if I haven't verified my shipping and billing. Yikes!

CelticKnot I got the same e-mails but I assume it is because the credit card I have on file expires June 2021.

I don't think that's it. I received the same emails and my credit card doesn't expire until 2024.

Quote: That is correct. They will increase by $5 after 30 days. That's the way it normally works, but the Mint's product page doesn't say this. Also, unless I missed it, this pricing was never announced in the Federal Register. I do see that Coin World is now reporting this discount for the Law Enforcement coins until 3pm 1 March. There's no mention of pricing for the McAuliffe coins, but indicated pricing most likely applies to them as well. Just seems like the Mint hasn't been very clear about pre-issue pricing for these pre-order coins. Again, since the authorizing law says Quote: (c) PREPAID ORDERS.— (1) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall accept prepaid orders for the coins minted under this Act before the issuance of such coins. (2) DISCOUNT.—Sale prices with respect to prepaid orders under paragraph (1) shall be at a reasonable discount. The law seems to say that a prepaid order is any order before the coins are issued, which according to the Mint's webpage is going to be 3/17/2021. So, it seems to me that the discounted price should be available until then. I guess we'll see
