CoinCents Pillar of the Community United States 3656 Posts	Posted 12/15/2020 11:56 am If it is a die chip it will be firm and unable to be moved. You can test it by lightly using a tooth pick to see if it is movable. You might be able to determine it from that. Report this Post to the Staff

Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 12/16/2020 02:48 am It may have the appearance of being just on the surface and removable to some, but the split plating seems to prove otherwise to me. I feel it makes the die chip look as much a part of the coin as any of the designed devices that show the same depth of plating damage. It's an interesting die chip!
