Is this a coin weight check or just a weight from a set of scales ?
Brass, weight 13.8g, diameter at widest approx 24mm. Looks like a crown with WIV below. Back is plain.
Thanks
Brian.

It looks like one of a stacking set of weights rather than for anything particularly coin related. I would expect there to be a little lump of lead in the hollow in the bottom so a precise weight could be achieved.

13.8g is slightly less than ½ an ounce. A ½ ounce weight should weigh 14.175g

A 1/2 ounce trade weight from the reign of William IV, that has lost some of its original weight (lead lump missing?).
