The last coin pictured is very interesting WWI "Kriegsgeld" which means literally War Money. Looks like Iron and the shape is nice. It was issued by the Rhineland and it is number 2-2 in Upton's Emergency Coinage of Germany. Value is listed at 25 cents but the history is worth more.

I checked my 5F piece and it is the same as Mr Rick's (although a bit muckier), with no mint mark that I can see. I appreciate the info about it, so thank you.

MrRick- Another nice New Zealand half crown. I really think this series of NZ coins are really overlooked by most collectors.

Woohoo! A one-of-a-kind! LOL

I found this site- http://www.triton.vg/overdate.html -that had a write-up on it. This coin I have is in pretty good shape with '1925' very clear & I can't see the 5/3 at all. I've put the reverse pic in again

Oh, sorry. I deleted a few pics out of my album at Photobucket & since I could still see them, I figured everyone else could too. I'll try to put them back up.

Thanks

MrRick- yes, the standard catalogs do say that only the overdate version exists for business strikes of that year. It may be a mere misprint in the Krause catalog or it may actually be that they are all overdates, but this may only be detected by use of a very powerful magnifier. (After all, most overdates are not as obvious as the 1942/1 US Merc. dime).

I think I do...you just have to squint a little. It may be the die state is a later one, but I see something there.

That New Zealand shilling is very high grade. Very nice! In fact, in unc it books at $100! So you have a valuable coin there. Congrads!
