Sorry the slab is a fake. This one has the wrong font used, you can easily match up the third thick line in the barcode and compare it to the one from Heritage that's where it starts to break down. Other markings on the coin don't match Heritage's photos either.
Really hope the dealer takes it back no questions asked. If they don't let us know there are recourses to take and we can help somewhat with the direction to go. Any good dealer would never let this one slip through, I can see missing a more common dollar but any coin over a couple thousand dollar level should be worthy of a really thorough examination.

We all make mistakes, just some like should never happen. Really sorry and it stinks you have to go through this. Hope you come to a good resolution, the coin is off the market for good and that you find your 1889-CC you want!
