This one here found ermmm 12 13 yrs ago didnt even really realize at that time of the Types and one of the reasons I really started to collect, and search.

I've heard the type ones were struck in 1975 and the type 2 were 1976 strikes. I don't remember now where I heard that though?

yeah back then didnt even know till later there was lol,, I'm going to have to check that out also coop I have a few but seems wierd, I have a type 1 and 2 bi so erm not sure.

Correct. The Variety 1 CuNi Ikes were minted in 1975 and the Variety 2 were minted in 1976. The 1975 mint and proof sets have a Variety 1 Ike, the 1976 sets have Variety 2. All silver bicentennial Ikes are Variety 1.

I am sure there was some unintentional overlap, but I have never seen a set that had the incorrect Ike.

Yes, but still fun to have though .

My 1976 V1 has a nice golden tone to it. At first glance I though yours had a similar look to mine.

no plated sighs lol and really sux because I think is the doubled die also but hard to tell due to the plating
