I have this 1937 Lincoln Wheat penny and would like to find out if this is considered a lamination error on the reverse? If so, how does this occur? I see the parts of the letters "E" and "N" still visible below the metal that is messed up.
Looks like a Lamination error. I checked to see if the cheek was opposite that area, (as it looked flattened) but is not opposite that area: ('STATES' opposite the cheek area)
