What do you think of this 1859 Indian cent? The seller is selling this coin as BU, which I think is fair. All the pearls are there. Feathers and handband look good. The coin has some tiny dings and scratches here and there, if I see it correctly. So perhaps low MS overall, say MS62.

That's an awfully nice looking IHC but my call is AU-58+ , Not MS .

This is a tough one to grade from pics. AU-58 would not surprise me, nor would MS-62/63.

AU-58, possibly cleaned lightly, there's a collection of hairlines under the bust and off the point and to the left of the neck.

Scrape and ding on the cheek, and the scratch above the 9 are a bit distracting. But nice detail for AU58

AU-58, possibly low MS in hand, but given the price jump from AU58 to Ms62/63..... I would wouldn't pay MS money on this one.

AU 58 There appears to be circulation rub on the high point and luster break. I would not pay over AU money for the coin.

...and neither would I. Considering that the seller wants MS62 money for it, I regrettably have to pass.

AU for me, too. Of course, photos do not replace having the coin in hand, but am wondering the true color of the grayish looking portions of the coin? Could that be from removing or trying to remove tarnish or other problem? I would appreciate others' opinions whether that dull rampant toning is a giveaway of chemicals used?
Stay well, Diy89Nurm7
