Looking to possibly send this in to have it slabbed. Its hard to get decent photos from the phone, sorry. If anyone would be willing to offer an opinion on what they think the grade is I would appreciate it.

Grading not justified, when considering the small potential numismatic value over the gold value.

Thank you. In other words, the grading would not put it much more than the "melt value"?

Agree VF-30/35, basically a bullion coin. Just worth melt value.

XF40 There is some value is grading the $20 pieces as they are easier to sell online.

This 1878s to me seems to be a better date, and its value is around 2,200 in value. At that value, it is definitely slabbable to me, regardless of the grading imho. To me, the neat history automatically makes pre-1933 gold coins never bullion in the first place.
