What grade do you think this Morgan received? I am looking at it in an upcoming auction. The relative strong strike and luster caught my eye as these are not normally characteristics on 02-Os. What say you? PCGS TrueView:

Knowing how often Tru-view pics flatter the subject, I'll say MS-65.

Nice clean cheek and great luster, but the scattered bag marks may limit it. I'd say MS-64+.

decent 02(O) better than average strike for this year. luster looks fairly unbroken. eye appeal AVG+. surface preservation is AVG. there are few dings, marks and minor scratches on both sides. I dont think this one would make MS66 especially at PCGS. MS65

MS65 wouldn't surprise me, but given the number of smaller marks, may hold it back. Ill say MS-64+

I'm at MS65 as well but as Ty and Zurie mentioned it could be 64+.

I am at MS65. If the coin is graded MS66, I would pass as too much chatter in the fields.

I am trying to learn how to grade uncirculated Morgan dollars--MS(64) for this one!

This was graded MS-65. I liked the strike and luster but like many of you thought is was too marked up for a 65.
BTW it sold for $165.
