Well...as a bit of explanation.
Canada's coinage has a history of special die markers, which often were dots signifying a unique die.
The 1936 dot cent is a sough-after rarity, as is the 1936 dot 25c, the 1947 dot 25c, '47 dot 5c, and especially the '36 dot 10c (last sale over $100K). With that numismatic history, I can understand why people look for these dots (and overreact), even if they're common die gouges.
