Dear all,

I came across a Walking Liberty half dating 1946. There seems to be a line going through the 1 in the date. Can you help me identify whether this error? Thanks a lot!

Looks like it might a lamination issue, or a struck through silver debris that you are seeing. a closer view of that area might help us see it better.

The coin is actually on a Swiss online auction, kind of a local Swiss ebay. So, this image is unfortunately all I have. Overall, the coin seems to be in very good condition. What struck me was this error in the year....

Almost looks like a die crack under the 1...but the mark on the date plate to the right of the 6 looks like metal moved from the rim inward? Hard to tell from the pics...
IDK?
