I found this coin while looking through my great-grandmothers coins. I was looking in coin book and on the internet but I could not find one date 1785. It could look like a 1785 because of its condition, but the five is fairly easy to make out. Sorry for the bad image quality.

I am not sure where you searched, but I was able to find 1785 examples on the internet.

This page https://coins.nd.edu/ColCoin/ColCoi...a.intro.html has links to the die sequence of all the 1785 Nova Constelletio coins, maybe not the best photos to be honest, I'm sure there are better ones around. But 1785 is a known date for this series.

This coin also looks pretty real to me, not that I'm an expert in colonial era coinage, I'm just getting started in my research and studies of them. A wonderful coin to say the least, I'm betting it's genuine, there are more qualified members like Condor101 or ColonialJohn, NJCoppers and ColonialTokens than me to help make the genuine call.

Also try https://www.PCGS.com/prices/detail/.../most-active
See coins #810 through 823 PCGS should have some good photos to help, I'm betting on coin #813.
