I scoped this and it does not look like a classic ear lobe DDO error. I cannot attribute this to damage either as it looks to be a part of the coin and I am unable to rub it off. Can someone give me an idea of what they think of this?

Thank you for the thoughts. I will have to get out a couple of my tiny picks and poke at it. Certainly does not match the proper thing, but I had to ask.

Could be something stuck on the surface or perhaps a water mark/stain. Lots of tiny PMD marks too.

Don't poke at it. First try a soak in 100% pure acetone.
