Hi I'm Jake from the United States been collecting coins now for about 7 years and am finally ready to get off the bench and start actively Finding out if what I felt was rare and valuable actually is rare and valuable. So I collect pocket change I looked through every piece I've ever come across for the last 7 years for key dates errors rare varieties anything of value and have found a few really good ones I mainly look through pennies because pennies are so plentiful But I also collect dimes quarters half dollars dollars but I mainly stick to US coins, and because I get most from pocket change there mainly Modern era coins but I'm always hopeful to find something older! Today I was going through some of my old finds and there's always been one that gets to me every time because it's a 1943 steel but it has always come of strangely because it's darker then my other steel 43's so I have always try to convince myself I found the holy Grail 1943 copper today I realised I still had a treasure 1943 steel Struck on a 1943 silver planchet. Realising that brings me to This site I've come here a lot over the years reading through threads and seeing what everybody had but never posting and today that changes and I will post some pics and see what you guys think! Its good to be here Let's make some money or find your own holy grails good luck!

A 1943 cent on a dime planchet (I think that's what you're saying) would be quite the find. We'd love to check it out in another thread. An easy, definitive way to tell if it's steel is to just test it with a magnet.

Welcome to the forum.
I ran out of breath while reading your intro. Exhausting but informative.
