I guess times really are getting hard, around here anyway. Today I got a really nice 1948 Roosevelt dime back in my change at the local Hardees. Third silver coin I have gotten in my change in the last 3 or 4 weeks.

It only stands to reason the fair market value of late date silver coins should rise , " if " roll find
average is 2,000 + to one?

Haven't found any in change in a LONG time but I did pull a 1948 dime out of the reject slot of a coinstar machine Sunday as I was passing by.

Stopped at bank to try my luck looking for some silver. Got 12 rolls of halves. First roll I looked at had some tape on it. Discolored like it had been there a while. Sure enough. Whole roll was 40%. The rest of the rolls was all clad. Went to the coin shop the next day and traded it for a nice ms Walking Liberty half. Ill post some pics of her after the holidays. Been busy. Happy holidays to all.

I have found three silver coins in the last month. A 1956-d and 1963-d
Roosevelt dime and a 1948-s (well worn) quarter.

Merry Christmas to all!

Geesh....I never find silver in my change. It has been probably 4-5 years since I can remember the last time that happened. I rarely even see wheat cents in my change so you guys are quite lucky! Congrats and lets hope the finds keep coming!

I should qualify my previous statement. I have not found any silver yet since the "Great Coin Jar Dump of 2008" began. The last silver I found in change was almost ten years ago, a 1944 quarter.
