The Presidential dollars are just plain ugly to me, the 3/4 profile just isn't a good look, the ones that opted for a side profile are alright to me but don't make up for the rest of them
I agree. I like the series, but I hoped it was going to look better than it did.

The portrait of Reagan is pretty bad: why is he grinning like that?

The image is taken from a real photo, the same photo used for the 2016 Coin and Chronicles set. The grin is somewhat accurate, however poorly executed.

Another thing I noticed is that the portraits of the first half dozen presidents look "puffy".

I keep saying I am a "newbie" but when it comes to modern coins, I have just about the same opinion I have of modern postage stamps... mostly awful designs, awful "print quality", awful subject matter. BUT HEY, who am I?

Nobody...

I love Special Olympics, but the portrait on that coin leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been amazed at how cheap the reverse looks on the Presidential dollars. It looks to me like a cheaply made token.

I've never been a fan of the draped bust design on the silver coins. Especially the heraldic eagle reverse.
Suffering from bust half fever.
