And to think I turned down $1,500 for my mule.

It was early days, and they were going for $2k, and only about 30 had been found. Ah well, such is life.

As for the Roozillas, I STILL have no idea what a fair asking price is, and nobody has ever made me any offer at all.

I have the same problem with the 1985 Rabbit. An oz forum member suggested they'd be worth about $25 and up to $40. I have found nearly 30 of the 2000 and over 20 of the 84 which are reportedly the hardest to come by. But only 3 x 85s. I have even found four mules that are worth $400 each. Would that not bump the price of the 85 wascally wabbits up somewhat?

As for the Roozilla, I have a $1 where the 3rd roo has a spine (about 3 small Cuds). Perhaps she's hopped from the 50c to the $1 in order to drive our US friends crazy?

Okay lets talk about something else!!! I am going to have to win the lottery, buy a plane and make trips to Australia just to pick up rolls of coins to search! So many errors, so little time and NOT enough money to bribe all the Aussie collectors!!!

I'm always approachable. Don't let the snarled teeth, deep growl and clawed hands put you off

Hi all,

Although I am new here, a few of the regular Aussies to the Coin chat site knows me, including Lim....Hi Lim !
In relation to the Yr 2000 $1 mule, I agree with Lim in that it is underrated and much rarer than what most people make it out to be; especially those in the higher grades (i.e EF and above).
As for their regular appearances on ebay, quite alot of those coins are the same coins re-trading on ebay, and most that are listed are usually VF or below in condition.
For the astute collectors/investors that are accumulating today, there may be a big on their faces in 15-20 years time when all specimens have been plucked from circulation and proper numbers are known.

Though WA is touted as the State in which most of the Mules are found, only one was discovered in the Pilbara region by a check out chick at the Coles Supermarket in Hedland.

The Mule is a lot rarer than what most collectors think it is.

Hey Guest1595 welcome to the forum! Always keep in mind I have an exclusive "MULE" storage facility right here in Indiana thats free of charge. Of course I also provide permanant gold and silver storage as well, again, FREE of charge! So if you become burdened with all those mules and precious metals feel free to store them permanently at my home, er....I mean, storage facility! Thats what friends are for!

Hey Lim did the turtle make it down there yet? Make sure you let PNC King know when the VC turtle hits the beach!

Still stranded here Terry.......we are rained out.

The North West is under a huge rain bearing depression caused by Cyclone Emma and most roads are closed.

Each year, at this time of the year, we are subjected to the whims of good old Mother Nature....great for the flora and fauna.

Any more rain matey, and I will start to develope roots....[:p]

If Lim was on a island that would be easier, just tap the turtle on the bum and its on its way.

My Turtle arrived today, I almost kissed it.....lol
