On the
Wide AM, the 'M' is centered between the 'AME' on America. On the
Close AM, the 'M' is not centered, but to the left of center, regardless of the space between the 'AM'. What happened on your coin. Probably the die was polished, removing the thickness of the fields. How does that affect the spacing? When you remove the base of the device that are wider, it creates a false extra space between the 'AM', just like your coin. I've not checked the other devices on your coin, but I'm guess they are showing smaller devices, with more space between the devices? That is why when you saw that extra space, you thought it was a
Wide AM. But the location of the 'M' is centered on the
Wide AM. There can't be a third option as there were only two designs. RDV-006 and RDV-007.
