Should There Be An S Nickel In A 1970 Lg Dt Mint Set?

Diy89Nurm7 Valued Member United States 271 Posts	Posted 04/10/2021 10:00 am Greetings, I just purchased a 1970 Mint Set (Lg Date variety). It has the expected S Penny in the Philadelphia pack. However, it has an S Nickel where the no mint mark Nickel should be. Is that a known variety? Is that a true "error"? Pictures follow. Please advise. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 04/10/2021 10:27 am 1968 1969 and 1970 US Mint Sets had S & D mint marked nickels since there were no Philadelphia minted nickels.
