Greetings,

I just purchased a 1970 Mint Set (Lg Date variety). It has the expected S Penny in the Philadelphia pack. However, it has an S Nickel where the no mint mark Nickel should be. Is that a known variety? Is that a true "error"? Pictures follow. Please advise. Thanks.

Here's a hint.

Look for the 1970 mintage figures for a 1970 "plain"...

If you had one of those, then you would be really happy...

1968 1969 and 1970 US Mint Sets had S & D mint marked nickels since there were no Philadelphia minted nickels. Same goes for the nickels released for circulation.

Thanks for the education. Note to self: Cancel the McLaren order.

Dear Sir, I'm happy to let you know that your custom built 2021 McLaren 765LT has been shipped! Your bank account has been charged the amount of $427,255 with the no cancelation clause as we discussed.

The car was loaded into a shipping container and loaded on the Evergreen sailing vessel "Ever Given." It should arrive... how should I say this... eventually.

Have a Wonderful Day!
