2018 P Quarter Die Error? - Coin Community Forum

JdalS New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/24/2021 5:32 pm I'm new to collecting errors and this is my first post. This is a 2018 P Apostle Islands Quarter. Have done some searching and can not find an example of this error. Curious to know what is in the field in front of Washington's nose. It looks like the edge of another coin. Ericwats Valued Member United States 133 Posts	Posted 04/24/2021 5:46 pm I have one of those on a Kennedy I found the other day. I believe it is caused by the edge of another coin being smashed into it leaving an imprint. on mine if you look closely you can see where the metal was pushed up.
