This 1937D Buffalo nickel was part of a lot I purchased awhile back. It shows in the upper midsection of USOA. Also in E Pluribus Unium, very noticable in the P of Pluribus. It has a heavy spread in the R and I in Pluribus where they are touching with no space between at all . I can't find any hard examples of a DD 1937D Buffalo nickel Doubled Die other then the 1937D three legged Buffalo nickel.

Even on a higher grade Buff the R & I are touching - so add some circulation flattening and I think that is what you are seeing. Just a circulated buffalo?

I'm seeing abit more than than circulation. I was hoping some of the experts here would confirm or refute it with an explanation to what I'm seeing. I sent an email to the man. I will see if he responds back. Thanks
