Quote: I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the 3rd. It is cool having extras of the unique or rarer ones, when it doesn't cost too much to get them now. It may end up being a smart move later on. The extras I have are the '13 Enhanced Uncirculated and the 11S Uncirculated. The 17S would be a good one as well. I just have them in capsules ungraded. No one can argue where they came from or if they are genuine.

Quote:PS, Three of the ASE sets are a Very Awesome gift, The Recipients will Always Treasure, I am Sure.... I've tried to add some variety but I think my Silver Eagles are the highlight of my collection. My kids are not collectors like I am and my parents were but they have each said that they have no intention of ever selling the coins they inherit. They may eventually be handed down to my four grandchildren.

Quote: The 3 Sets you have accumulated is NO Small Feat, All Mint Marked Coins !!!!! Thank you for your acknowledgement. It was a chore and it put a dent in the checking account but I was pleased when the sets were finished. The fact that ASEs are my favorite coins made it a little easier.

As I mentioned elsewhere I'm working on Brilliant Uncirculated Franklins now. I have three sets of mixed mint marks but I'm going for all mint marks for each year.

Quote: " but I'm going for all mint marks for each year. " !!!! I've got a pretty good start on complete BU sets. I need 1950-D and 1952-S. That leaves Philadelphia no mint mark and I only have three of those years. I'll order a couple of years at a time.

Well to my eyes, they appear to be the same.. (I just turned the page to get the reverse images, so the 2023 reverse is on the left and the 2022 reverse is on the right - just to keep things in perspective)

IMO, The U S Mint needs to ADD More Uncirculated , Mint Marked versions. We have seen Some Special Proofs, Reverse Proofs, Enhanced Reverse Proofs, What about Some Other than West Point making The Only Unc's , with a Mint Mark, For the year. Imagine the Superior " Uncirculated " Products The Granite Lady, The San Francisco Mint could produce.... We know how Traditionally their products Excell.Imagine a Special Unc from San Francisco Imagine a Special Unc from the Philadelphia Mint, Both are Excellent ideas I would Enjoy That.... PS, Being the Unc's are usually the lowest minted/collected version(s), I really do Not believe the "path taken " Would Alter, for the Poor Little Unc's..... Thoughts ?
