The "D" is completely filled in as far as I can tell. Is this an error and is it worth anything?

Thanks for the welcome and the help! I'm assuming this would be the same scenario?

to the CCF!

the mint mark is a broken post where the center of the mint mark device has broken off of the die. The zigzag on the B of LIBERTY looks like a circulation contact mark. It's nothing that was wrong with the die, it's just Post Mint Damage ( PMD) to the coin.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
