Look at the A in States..could this be from another coin hitting it? Or stuck through? I'm lost on this one. It's incuse.

This is a tough one since I'm not seeing any displaced metal to confirm it is just a gouge. That is what my gut says though (rather than being struck through) with the various rim nicks and other damage.

The edges are more rounded than sharp which I would expect from a hit. So I'm voting for a strike through on this one. Maybe a small chunk of hardened grease that was not cleaned out.

I lean toward damage, but close call. Great close-ups in any event.

I'm going with PMD from a hit on this one also.
See how the side of the "A" is pushed out from being displaced.
If it was struck through it would be in a straight line.

Hi.
That's rather interesting.
Would you be so kind to take a edge photo of the reeds starting at United and ending at the end of States.
Please.
I think that may be struck through a broken reed from the collar die.

It is a damage, it is a hit by a reeded edge of another coin.

I'm in the damage camp as well. No additional photos are needed. Post mint damage ( PMD).

Thanks for the edge photo.
It didn't help me decide on damage or struck through.
Sorry I couldn't help.
