Ok, so this quarter has a lot that I see. I poked the "die chips" with a toothpick as some of you have suggested to others and no they don't change. I know there is PMD but I also see other things (I think). If you notice on the reverse there is an arc. This arc starts on the edge of the coin and continues to the bottom edge. It doesn't seem to affect the T or I in Moderation (not flattened just seem to be stamped on top of the indentation), then continues through the leaf and the outline of Georgia, then seems to disappear and show up again on the edge under the N. Also at the A and T there seems to be another line curving through there and one going from the O to the N. Over by Wisdom the planchet by the leaves seems to show levels, not sure how to explain this but where you she the lines one part is higher than the other. There are also some die chips on this side. On the obverse there also seems to be die cracks. There seems to be an image on both sides lying under the main quarter images....any thoughts. Sorry for all the images but it is about the same coin and wanted to show as much detail as possible. Thanks!

@csp, for sure most of these anomalies are circulation damage. A good example is the arc-shaped depression on the rev-another quarter was pressed onto this one and left that impression. From your pics, I think the only legit area of interest is potentially a small die crack connecting the letters O and N.

The devices on the ribbon are incuse devices. So they coin scratch wasn't deep enough to affect these incuse devices. PSD

I don't think any of this is an error.

General circulation damage.

Pic overload. Generally we ask for a complete photo of both sides, and one or two close-ups of areas of interest. If we need more we'll ask for them. Sometimes too many photos turns viewers off, loosing them.
