I would search for errors and varieties as well as any high grade ones. I also would keep a few rolls unopened that have heads on one end and tails on the other.

I would have opened every roll, to look for blank planchets; I heard of a guy on Reddit who opened a bunch of dime rolls that were new, and he found a blank planchet. I have some newer rolls of nickels that I got at a gas station, which I will definitely open to look at.

I'd go through each roll. I've had the same experience over the years and have never regretted looking--found a blank planchet, many very visible die cracks and die chips, a few decent misaligned dies, and a nice number of MS67 or better examples. Trick is to pace yourself--don't try to examine all rolls in one sitting.

You guys have a point,
I havnt took them back yet due to it being the week-end.
But the hunt isn't as fun when its the same date

Now I am back to being undecided.

I am always curious what errors and other finds could await me in rolls, even newer ones.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it makes roll hunting fun. Open them up and hope for some surprises!
