There may be MD on his chin, but it is a little hard to tell due to that surface discoloration. Bumpkin Pillar of the Community United States 509 Posts	Posted 09/08/2021 01:24 am Unfortunately, acetone is not going to help, or for that matter hurt, this Lincoln Cent. This is a zinc cored cent, with an extremely thin copper plating, and it appears that it is a matter of time before the thin copper plating on it disappears and Linc catches the Zinc Rot disease. It truly is a shame that the quality of the zinc Lincolns are what they are. Report this Post to the Staff
