A lot of the commemorative coins of Portugal were issued in Nickel and others in silver and some of the later years also in Platinum and Gold.
I have each coin in a flip and I inserted a piece of paper with coin, issuer, grade, composition and mintage. That will hopefully assist in selling them.

Quote: The coin is the 1972 50 Escudos and it commemorates the 400th Anniversary of the Portuguese epic poem "Os Lusiadas" Fantastic add!

@ hfjacinto, I really enjoy reading your posts and follow your latest updates! I even learnt new things as well. I even bought one silver coin due to this topic! I would happily share it with you if you do not mind. Please keep up the great work in educating us on Portuguese coins and notes.
I am curious as to why they increased size of 25$00 coin? I have two different sizes of the same denomination. Wondering why.

@Carrigna,
Yes, please share it. I get ideas of coins from people posting. It wasn't for Triggermob I wouldn't have gotten the 50 Centavos and Numis Ed found a coin shop that had a few coins that I didn't have.
As to increasing the size of the 25$00, I don't know. I don't think Portugal makes its planchets, maybe the larger planchet was what was available...
