Most common date but it is a very nice looking dobra. Struck with sharp dies. Only a little corrosion in the reverse. Some dobras were struck with very corroded dies.

Very nice! I know that shop very well. There is a brew pub next door, in case you get hungry/thirsty.

It is a great shop. Friendly people, well organized. Clean. I might check out the pub later tonight.

They have, or had, a very nice 5 reis 1880. If you come down to Lisbon there are two shops you should take a look into, downtown.

I got a pair for those 5 reis 1901 Do not know what happened to that batch of copper alloy but some of the coins from that issue get this look. Already had a 10 reis 1901 but got this one to pair with the 5 reis I had shown. Both with the same kind of dark and lighter metal texture. This one shows some rubbing from having had the obverse cleaned but I don't care. Now I have a spare nice 10 reis without rubbing but without luster. I think the cleaned top coin with dents on the edge is more appealing than the uncleaned lower one.
