My recipient still hasn't acknowledged receiving the coins, and tracking says it has been delivered to him on December 27. rggoodie, I sent you 2 private messages, but I don't know if they are going through.

I just want to warn my santa not to worry. I left town on a holiday and I don't know if his gift came to me.

I got back from vacation today and these lovely gifts were waiting for me from Santa: Lovely selection of old Canadian bills (never even handled a fractional one or a George VI one before} plus two crisp US $2 bills with consecutive numbers, a gorgeous silver C$8 bullion coin and a nice big bronze medal! Thanks!

A big Thank You to my secret Santa (Molydeii) for participating...wow talk about postage fees. Truly will enjoy the sweet Turkish delights for many months (Tangerines are my favorite fruit, I eat 3 to 6 everyday) and I see myself researching the nice unc. 10 turk lirasi bill, like who is on it and who's signed it and will place it highly and proudly in my collection.....Thanks again and cheers to a wonderful 2022....

Greasy Fingers - I suspect the person on 10 Lira Bill, along with all other Turkish coins and notes is Kemal Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey.
He is a National Hero there and insulting him can mean jail time.

Managed to get through the Holidays and I am sure my Secret Santa is waiting for me to post the pics that I promised. I received a very nice and interesting assortment of coins from across the pond. There are 4 countries represented. The first row has a Mexican centavo, then there is a 1936 British Penny that is really cool. The second row has 4 South African 1 and 2 cent coins, and the third row has 4 different dates of 5c Namibia. The South Africa and the Namibia coins are interesting due to their being steel, with copper and nickel plating respectively. The last coin is a beautiful 2020 5 pound coin commemorating the reign of King George III, one of the United Kingdoms longest reigning Monarchs'. Very nice, and Thank You! to my Secret Santa.

@Greasy Fingers : I'm very glad you enjoyed it. It was a pleasure sending it. Thank you for the post. :( Have a great 2022.
@Princetane : There is a mathematician on one side and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founding father of modern Turkey on the other side. I believe it's a portait of him from 1931. I am unsure though. Jail time for insulting him? Now we're getting out of context for Holiday exchange topic. Everyone can say what they think about him never seen anyone getting into a problem for that.

Thank you for the gift Secret Santa! Sorry for not posting sooner but I have been dealing with a serious family issue since early Dec.
The 1951D Jefferson cent will look very nice in my collection!
The German notes are absolutely beautiful and I have little idea what they are. lol Especially the folding 25 pfennig note I have always loved looking at these notes and what you sent are in excellent condition. Same thing for the 1921 50 Pfennig coin. German coins are very pretty. I forsee lots of searching and reading in my future!
The 1967 Soviet coin is interesting. I am going to ask my Daughter to help translate so I may read up on it. lol Soviet Union is a country that was non existent in my collection until you corrected that oversight for me! lol
1964D and 1961 quarters are appreciated and will find a comfy home in one of my albums. I should eventually get around to making a set of them.
I have always thought about getting one of the bags of "Fed shreds". Such an interesting idea that it only takes ~$364 worth of banknotes to shred down and fill a bag that size.
Thank you!!!
