Pertinax Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2133 Posts	Posted 01/03/2022 4:44 pm I received a lovely present from Santa this morning. 1898 Barber quarter 2021P Crossing the Delaware quarter 1964 D Dime Spain 1868 10 escudos - contemporary forgery with traces of gilt on some lettering. I'd like to say thank you to Santa for his generosity. The Barber quarter is now the oldest US quarter that I've got. It's lovely to see a 2021 quarter in hand and the beautiful dime - both in mint condition. The Spanish coin is the first contemporary forgery of a 19th century gold coin I've ever seen - presumably holed to prevent it being recirculated.
