Glad we're getting down to the last few. CCF Secret Santa is turning into the NFL season... a nearly all-year-round phenomenon.

Hi all , This note is not meant to belittle anyone here , I just felt I would comment on the timing of the Secret Santa. All my life ,Xmas was celebrated on Dec 25 , gifts were exchanged on the 25th. Richard does a great job to make sure anyone wanting to participate has plenty of lead time to do so ,(thanx so much Richard ). Other than a mail or shipping problem ,why do some members take so long to ship their gifts , are they waiting to see what they receive before sending their package . Its been a month and still 9 have not reported that they have received their gift . I hope that they have by now and just forgot to mention it.
We are lucky to have Richard doing this for all , he steps it up every year , I wish everyone else did to. To all those that do make an effort to get their gifts there on time
Rest in Peace

I would just like to suggest to Richard maybe he can start the ball rolling earlier than November 27 . And encourage participants to mail their secret Santa gifts out sooner .
I praise Richard for doing Secret Santa every year . I know it can't possibly be an easy thing to accomplish .

I delayed sending until 20 December this year for Covid reasons.

I was told I'd have to self-isolate and just in case I was infectious, I didn't handle the coins for an extra week.

I thought it better to delay than send Covid as an extra present.

I'm sure Richard will handle all these as needed on a case by case basis (not trying to speak for him).

My giftee is still waiting for theirs, shipping overseas. A bit frustrating as I shipped on Dec. 8th as quickly as possible, and USPS has failed to give me any updates. They estimated 15-21 days! HA! Add it to the list of all my USPS horror stories.

At this point I've accepted the package is probably lost and will need to resend

In my case, I mailed the package via Priority Mail on 18th December 2021 and tracking number showed it was delivered on 20th December 2021.

The giftee did not acknowledge or confirm the receipt of the Christmas pressies for a bit more than month.

The present was coins made of precious metal and base metals.

Please do not assume that participants are not following the rules or taking a sweet time.

Thank you.

PS I am glad I am back here as I was having hard week in the last week of the old year then I got sick for nearly week. Thankfully, it is not COVID-19 but from my chronic health issues.

@gidjit, that is a fascinating coin! Yes, it is very small silver coin! But thank you for showing us how denga really looks like! Details are excellent. I am sure they were easily lost back then?

@giedrius, they are neat medals! Will watch your video.

I'm in the same boat as ty2020b. Its sad the nice gift assortment I put together never arrived. I planned on shipping a second gift already but I had to get some new coins for the gift. Looks like T-BOP will be waiting into february for a new gift. Sorry T-BOP.
Rest in Peace

@ Wrekked , like I said to you in a PM a couple of weeks ago I feel very bad that you think the right thing to do is resend another package of coins to me . Also like I said It's not your fault that it was lost or stollen .
