Whoever thought writing CCF's Secret Santa 2021, I applause that user! That's a brilliant idea to remember the coins!

@SilverCents :P, even though I'm across the ditch I would say Princetane got a point there, I doubt it even the value that was the problem. My guess it was a new Santa , not realising that it's pretty silly to send a circulating coin back to original country. It would be like me sending someone some american pocket change, with some lint included :D.

Yes I know that this year has been tough, but I don't think it's acceptable to gift someone such poor pickings (i guess he will have to muse his last year's gifts), when the rules are quite clear.

when your on his bad side

@Princetane, Just out of curiosity was it packed nice (is a picture of the actual coins possible? or will I get ), or was it just thrown in an envelope?

We had two people who tried to send gifts to New Zealand
(a beautiful country- I know I lived there)

but with new regulations an COVID- It was VERY expensive to ship there

so I asked another member who was not even in the exchange to send him something. Which he kindly did.

We try to insure everyone has success but we make no guarantees.

Can we please drop this now or I will start deleting posts.

A great gift from SelectCoinCanada. I especially like Barber dimes, I adore them.
Did I understand correctly that the first photo is what you received, and the second is your set of types including the gift above ?

@ SelectCoinCanada, that was and still is a wonderful Secret Santa gift! I am amazed by the assorted coins Santa put together for you. Very thoughtful!! I always am happy to see Morgan dollar whenever they are. To think these coins has more purchasing power than our current dollar could possibly has!

I especially like the idea of writing down Secret Santa 2021 on the coin flips so we remember where we got them. I would like to do that next year if the Secret Santa does not mind sharing this idea with us?

@ jgfindring, what am I looking at? It is not clear in your photo? They look very interesting. What does AACGS stand for? I believe these coins are $1 coins? I do think these coins are awesome due to their pristine and shiny condition. I am happy for you that Secret Santa did manage to get the gift to you in time! I would like to think you are not naughty in 2021! Thumb up!

That reminds me: I want to thank my Secret Santa for my present! I do hope you had a good Christmas and that your New Year had started off on a great note! I hope I did not forget my manner some posts ago!! If I did, I sincerely apologize!

I would like to thank rggoodie for his hard work and seeing to everyone having a great time with our Secret Santa exchanges! Yes, there are some hiccups but we know they are easily resolved. Let's hope next year would be much better! I do think this year we did pretty good considering that the Post Office managed to deliver most of the gifts on time. Let's give him a lot of claps, shall we?

Ryurazu, poorly packed, taped to a ripped piece of cardboard, name spelled wrong on envelope, no stamp and coins received actually had wear on them.

Probably the worst scenario - Rg Goodie delete away, as my record for high quality posts and information about NZ coins and Halfcrowns far outweighs my childish tantrum over this scammo gift I received this year.

The gift I sent out was worth around $30 (With $25 worth of silver bullion before numismatic value). The one I received was worth $2 (Actually $1 as the coins were not in collectable condition - in fact I placed them into circulation).

THIS WILL BE MY ABSOLUTE LAST POST on this matter and I WILL NOT enter a secret santa here ever again.

PS - My Numista secret Santas were much better.

My secret Santa got here! Thank you! I was starting to get worried, last year I was one of the last two and didn't get mine until March. Must have been exceptionally naughty!

I was going to send my second gift over the weekend but decided to add to it since it's lacking in variety. Hope you don't mind waiting a little longer. At this point it will more likely be a Valentine's Day present lol. Unfortunately most of the US coins and varieties that were lost in my first gift were all I really had extra at the time. I hope you enjoy the new gift I put together. It will be sent this week with a tracking number and hopefully arrives this time!

Thanks again to rggoodie for hosting this lovely festive event.

@ Wrekkdd, I still don't expect a 2nd gift from you just because the first one was either lost by the mail service or was stollen enroute to my address .

I know, but you deserve one. I should have just paid for tracking the first time and maybe there would not have been an issue. For my first year on this forum I spend more time on the American forum th n Canadian and learned a lot. You have definitely helped me grow and have gone through a rough time. The secrete Santa is about giving not receiving and I would like to bring some joy your way:) getting a gift is awesome but never having a gift you send arrive is horrible. I want to continue to be in the secrete Santa and don't Wana be known as the guy whos gift never arrived. If the new one with tracking didn't end up in your hands then idk what to say.

I'm not sure how Canada Post works but I did the same thing as when I sent my 1000 post contest. I went in put it in the bubble wrapped pack they offer there. Filled out customers forms and sent it. I added a return address as well. The only explanation if my first gift never arrived is theft(or extremely late delivery I suppose). Hopefully with tracking it will arrive with no issue.
