The "P" mark was supposed to indicate that the coin was copper plated steel, No "P" that it was copper plated zinc. As indicated, some mistakes were made. I found one of them once, a bit circulated (I can't remember which, but the less rare of the 2 versions), but dealers had no interest as they had many which were not selling.

I believe the 2006p non magnetic is the rarest of the series. I have seen many of these sold just on ebay for a good premium. I don't know the exact Value but if you look up sold listing on ebay I'm sure there is plenty 2006 no logo no P magnetic that sold for a fair bit. If a cent sells for 2-3× what it would sell if it was 999 silver I'd say it's a good find lol. All that being said you need a market to sell to and the Canadian market appears to be 1/100th the size of the American so prices have to do with buyers not rarity.

I think 2006P non-magnetic is a true planchet error. Maybe it was some leftovers in the press feeder or (un)intentional toss. Imo, it is quite rare. 2006 (no logo, no P) is scarce but not really difficult to find in AU50 to MS63 grades. I do not think 2006P magnetic was issued into circulation as business strikes, but there are many (~233000) with *circulation finish* coming in various sets. Some from broken sets may have even entered circulation. 2006 Logo magnetic has 2 varieties, because there are different obverses for business strikes and for PL coins. And, for sake of completeness, there is 2006 no P no logo Bronze in Proof finish.

There were definitely conventional RCM paper wrapped rolls of 2006P cents issued for circulation. I bought one to search to get mine. I sent about 25 from the roll to ICCS that came back MS65 to MS67. One of those since went to PCGS.

out of all the pennies I searched I found just over 50 magnetic but only 2 with the P so I beleive the circulated P is far more scarce than the magnetic ,,just to give you an idea I have found about 5x more indian heads than the P

Amazing finds on the no logo no P magnetic. I'm jealous:p. As for the 2006p I have only looked through about 5 of my rolls since posting and have seen about 20 2006 but still no P.

These definitely have a good premium if found. The one that sold for 80 is a different coin, I thought you meant it was the same coin you saw on ebay. Anyways I hope to find one but don't think I have one in the current lot of cents I have. I have had no luck getting any more cent coins for a while now.
