This can't be a blank planchet. It is either a blank or a planchet. A blank is the cut out of the rolled metal. A blank is turned into a planchet with the upset rim is added, then it is a planchet. The planchet is then struck which turns it into a coin. So there is not Blank planchet, the term is not correct:
