I've checked varietyvista and doubleddie, but none of the listed RPMs looked quite like this coin. Am I overlooking something? Any feedback would be welcome, thanks!

I checked Wexler's and Variety Vista and believe it must be an FS-501 with circulation wear making it appear slightly different than the higher grade examples of the listings.

After seeing some similarly worn examples of FS-501 on ebay, I think you're right. Thanks for the help!

I used to find a few of these when buying bag of circulated Mercury dimes, but the last few I buy I got zip.

I found that one cherrypicking junk silver at a LCS, after having found a 1941-S RPM, FS-501, not too long ago.

1943-S-Mercury-Dime-RPM?

They're both fairly worn, but I still feel pretty lucky.

I don't have the two you've listed here but I do have 2 or 3 1940-S FS-501's and a couple of FS-901's.

Very nice! I chalk it up to the strain on the eyes of inspecting large quantities of dimes resulting in a lot of unidentified varieties floating around.
